1st Joint SLTU-CCURL Workshop

a Pre-Conference Workshop of LREC 2020
Marseille (FR)
Tutorial Day: 10 May 2020
Workshop: 11-12 May 2020

As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, LREC 2020 was suspended.
As a Satellite Event of the Conference, SLTU-CCURL 2020 was thereby suspended as well.
The Workshop Organizers adhered to the policy and decisions taken by the Conference Organizers.
The Workshop Proceedings were however published, in the hope that they can be considered relevant and stimulating for research.

The 1st Joint Workshop of SLTU (Spoken Language Technologies for Under-resourced languages) and CCURL (Collaboration and Computing for Under-Resourced Languages) (SLTU-CCURL 2020), organized by SIGUL, a joint Special Interest Group of ELRA (European Language Resources Association) and ISCA (International Speech Communication Association) focused on Under-resourced Languages, will gather researchers working on speech processing and NLP for less-resourced languages.

We solicit papers and posters related to all areas of NLP, speech and computational linguistics, as well as those at the intersection with digital humanities and documentary linguistics, provided that they address less-resourced languages.

The intention of this workshop is not only to provide a forum for the presentation of research, but also to offer a venue where researchers in different disciplines and from varied backgrounds can fruitfully explore new areas of intellectual and practical development while honoring their common interest of sustaining less-resourced languages.
